As a mom of two daughters under age five, I always have to carry tons of things with me. To avoid looking messy, I found a trendy, vibrant diaper bag with bold colors suitable for hot summer months, and I’m happy that the bag is also practical. My BuiltNY Go Go Diaper Tote in the Baby Dot 9 pattern goes with a lot of my outfits. Using my background in the fashion industry as well as my experience as a mom, I reviewed the item. I wore the bag for a couple weeks to help reveal the benefits of using it.

Review of the Diaper Tote

While wearing the bag, I was impressed with its size. Bigger than a lot of my other bags, the tote bag had ample space inside. I liked that the extra space was organized well with multiple compartments. Inside the bag, I had storage areas for diapers, wipes, diaper cream, toys and clothing. A large pocket on the outside was a great space for my cell phone and keys. At both ends of the bag, there was space for bottles and sippy cups.

Even though my younger girl was now 15 months old, I realized how useful the diaper bag would be for several more years. My older daughter, who is 4 years old, requires me to carry around snacks, drinks, books and toys for her. When I had to keep both girls preoccupied for long periods of time, such as in the waiting room of a doctor’s appointment, having a large, well organized diaper bag proved to be helpful. I had space for my older daughter’s tablet and noise-controlled headphones as well as many toys for my younger daughter.

For summer, the bag had an excellent style. I liked that the pattern had a dark blue background with bold colors in the polka dots. Vibrant coloring looked especially nice when I paired the bag with a dark blue, summery dress. The bag brought color into the otherwise bland color scheme that my clothes had. Bringing in a hint of bright colors helped make my outfit look more lively.

I found that the bag helped me stay organized on the go. When I took my family to church, my baby was very prepared to go in the nursery. Having all of my little girl’s essentials in one location was great. In the past, I always only carried my purse and I would bring in one diaper to give the ladies in the nursery. Having a large diaper bag with plenty of pockets helped show my organization skills and gave my daughter all of the things she would need in the hour away from me. In the future, I will look forward to using my diaper tote for family vacations and regular outings.
