Chaco Petaluma MJ Review Theresa November 16, 2014 Outdoors 4 Comments Shopping for the holidays? One of my favorite brands for friends and family who love the outdoors is Chaco. During the past year, I’ve had positive, successful experiences with the company’s products. You can read about my experiences in my reviews of men’s Grayson shoes for my husband’s Father’s Day gift as well as the women’s Reversiflip, which have been my main pair of outdoor, summer sandals. Because both pairs have held up great with regular wear, I was excited to review the women’s Petaluma Mary Jane in Coffee Bean. While writing my Chaco Petaluma MJ review, I discovered that the shoes have a cool, outdoorsy style with a supportive fit and durable quality. Chaco Petaluma MJ Review As a teacher, I was drawn to the down to earth, professional style of the shoes. I liked that the shoes’ design made them look nice with khakis so I could wear them to work as well as to run errands and to spend time with my family. To try the shoes out, I paired them with jeans on a family trip to the aquarium. My style had a comfortable look fitting for a weekend walking adventure. Another reason I liked the shoes was the fit. Some other outdoor shoes that I’ve worn in the past have had too much extra space in the toe, which is aesthetically unappealing. Too much space can also be unsupportive to me. With a more fitted toe, the Petaluma MJ shoes looked nice and left just enough room for comfort. The shoes fit true to size. Great arches were another feature that attracted me to the shoes. Because my feet are flat, I need some support. Wearing the shoes, I felt supported, which helped me walk all day without twisting my ankle. I was also glad the shoes didn’t have too much of an arch, which can become uncomfortable. The shoes had just the right amount of arch support for someone who has low arches. Something unique to Chacos would be the LUVSEAT™ footbed, which you can find in the entire line of shoes from the company. The LUVSEAT™ footbed means that each pair from the company has the same support. While all Chaco shoes have the footbed that is certified by the American Podiatric Medical Association, none of the company’s competitors are, so obviously there is a reason that the company is so well known for its quality. Read more about LUVSEAT™ footbed. My favorite thing overall about Chaco shoes would be the shoes’ durability. In the past, the shoes my family has worn from the company have held up very well despite regular wear in outdoor conditions. I can tell that the Petaluma MJ have the durability that I have found is very reliable in shoes from the company. The shoes are made from strong, nice looking materials. In the future, I will get regular wear from the shoes in many different situations. To learn more, visit the company’s website. Disclosure I received a free item to help inform my writing. Reply Rebecca November 18, 2014 I would love those shoes! Great review! Reply K. Elizabeth (YUMMommy) November 19, 2014 Never heard of Chaco, but I might have to get a pair of these because I’m flat footed as well. It’s always hard for me to find shoes with enough support. Reply Shaney Vijendranath November 20, 2014 These look so comfy and I love that colour.
