If you’re looking for a fun game that the whole family can play, check out LEGO Dimensions. With LEGO characters that come to life in a fun-packed video game, this product is both entertaining and enjoyable. Whether you’re a fan of LEGO products or enjoy video games, this item has the best of both worlds.

3 Reasons To Play LEGO Dimensions

For indoor fun, Legos are a classic that families have enjoyed together for many years. Growing up, I was always drawn to the box of Lego figures we had in our play room. That’s why I was excited to try out the Lego Dimensions video game with my two children!

1. LEGO Dimensions brings the family together to play with a classic, all-time favorite toy.

From the gigantic Lego Duplo sets to the Lego Princess Castle sets, my daughters have enjoyed playing with Legos for years. Now that my older daughter is seven, she is at a good age to build Lego sets independently, and she still enjoys doing it with her parents too.

Usually with the Lego sets we build together, we build it and leave it up for a while, and eventually, her younger sister walks by and destroys it. Then, we put it back in the box and forget that it’s in our playroom.

With the Lego Dimensions Starter Kit, we had an awesome night home together building and enjoying our time as a family. The kit includes the disk, three characters, the Batmobile, and the portal.

With LEGO Dimensions, each family member can choose a character to become!

2. Your LEGO characters can come to life.

Even though we could have had just as much fun playing Legos on a table together, the video game creates a whole new world of fun. Inside the portal, each character has its own powers to help the group of characters get through the different levels.

After jumping through the portal, your LEGO characters can show off their special powers.

Our favorite part during the game was when Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle visited the Land of Oz. Since The Wizard of Oz is one of our favorite family movies, this part was entertaining. Together as a team, we beat the Wicked Witch, drove through flowers that made us sleepy, and followed the Yellow Brick Road.

After building the Starter Pack in Lego Dimensions, we enjoyed watching the characters visit the Land of Oz.

Although it took a while to figure out how to get into the game, it was fun once when we got there. During our first time playing, we realized that collecting the coins was a main point of playing the game. The next time, we started collecting coins from the beginning. It was neat to learn the strategies for playing the game as a family.

3. Build your LEGO collection as you play.

One of the most interesting parts of the game is that you can build onto it with Story Packs. Since The LEGO Batman Movie was released this year, it is one of the newest releases.

We began building some of this Story Pack, which came with Batgirl, Robin, the Batwing, and the Bat-computer. It was neat watching these characters join the game with the characters from the Starter Pack!

You can buy Story Packs to collect them all, or to buy your favorite character.

Although we were not able to get far in the Story Pack set, overall the LEGO Dimensions game was a fun experience! If you are looking for rainy day fun, this is a great game that the whole family can enjoy. Getting started can be a bit time consuming, but once you’re in the game, it offers a lot of entertainment.

We don’t have this game but it does look like a very fun game to play. Years ago when my son first started to play video games he used to play Lego Star Wars and that was a lot of fun .

These look so fun and like a great toy for the little ones! My little one is 17 months old so he’s a tad too small for these but I know he would love them when he gets older!
