Cherokee Kids’ Clothes Review Theresa July 26, 2015 Kid's Style 16 Comments Disclosure: I received a Target gift card to help inform my writing, but this did not affect my point of view! Preparing for kindergarten, my daughter needed some new clothes. Her old leggings were either too small or torn. Tank tops that were working well in the summer wouldn’t work so well in the fall. When Cherokee offered to give me a Target gift card so I could go pick out some of their clothes in person, I knew that she would appreciate the opportunity. Choosing her own clothes would help her reveal more of her personality with her style, which is especially fun for a brand new school year. Express Yourself with Cherokee Kids’ Clothes Usually I think of uniform-style polo shirts and khakis when I think of Cherokee. Kids in public schools who have dress codes can usually wear items that the brand makes. The style of many of their items is simple. Before I saw the company’s new Express Yourself campaign photos, I figured I would have picked out a couple plain items that could be layered with items from other companies. With the new campaign, I realized that the company offers a lot more than I had expected. When I arrived at my local Target, I was surprised to discover how many varieties of styles that the company offered in my daughter’s size. Simple tees and khakis were classic staples, but there was so much more. One favorite was the girls’ embroidered A-Line dress in vibrant green. The item would work well during this transitional time when the weather is still hot, while it also looked cute layered with a long sleeve tee and the black leggings pants. While the baseball tee had a simple style, its simplicity made it versatile. Since Samantha’s favorite color is pink, the shirt was something she would wear several different ways. She paired it with a faux leather jacket and khakis for a look that would work on the chillier days in autumn. Another style was wearing the pink baseball tee with some fun, leopard leggings. Another classic item from the company is the Pique polo in the jungle gym green color. The fabric was soft and stretchy. Samantha liked the polo’ comfortable style, and she decided she was purchasing it because she liked it so much. She wore it with some black leggings and a cool jean vest that would work great in any weather. Shopping for Cherokee items at Target was a huge success. Not only did their new items catch my attention, but I also found some great picks in their sale section. Prices were so good that I was able to splurge on the must-haves that Samantha had her heart set on, without going much over our budget. Having a major portion of our back to school shopping completed is a big relief. If only I could say the same about school supplies, but I’ll leave those for my next trip to Target. To learn more, check out the company’s website and visit their Facebook page.
