My daughters were excited about Joss Kendrick’s unique story! She is the only doll who comes with a disability, which makes her a great role model for girls who face challenges. Even with the disability, she can still do all the things that everyone else can do.

In the book, Joss likes surfing so much that she decides to try out for a competition to try to surf with her idol! Her brother is filming his pet bulldog surfing on the waves. She sees how well he does tracking the dog on his video camera, so she asks if he could film her.
He teases her by saying he would film her only if she got onto the cheerleading team because he didn’t think she would make it, but she ends up making the team! This causes some friend drama, but Joss realizes her passion for both activities and she has the confidence to do both because it’s the right choice for her. Will she end up winning the surfing competition? Read to find out!
