American Girl Movie Premiere & Rebecca Rubin Doll GIVEAWAY!
Some fun facts about Rebecca Rubin are that she is from 1914, lives in New York City, and has a Russian-Jewish background. Inspired by her cousin who is a professional actor, she dreams of acting too. Both of my daughters both enjoy being in plays. Since Sammie had her first two television appearances recently, one about Mosquito Safety and one about Toys Made in the USA, and she dreams of visiting New York City, this doll was perfect for her!

For our American Girl movie night celebration, we received the Rebecca Rubin doll, her accessories, two books, and the movie premiere outfit. Released in 2009, the doll continues to inspire children with a passion for theater and big cities! She comes with a book The Sound of Applause that we are going to enjoy reading this summer. Another book we received was The Showstopper, which has all the elements of mystery that make a children’s book suspenseful and interesting!
Rebecca comes in the standard BeForever doll box. With the opening in the front, you can see the doll’s face, her golden barrette, her hair net, and the white peter pan collar of her outfit.
When you take off the hair net for Rebecca Rubin, you can see her curly caramel hair. During my daughter’s recent American Girl birthday experience, we learned that to care for curly American Girl hair, you can spray it with water and twist it around your fingers. On the doll’s wrist, you receive a small description of how to best care for her in detail.
In the box, the doll comes dressed in an elegant, plum authentic 1914 outfit. On the jacket, details include a velvet sash and faux pearl buttons. She wears purple velvet shoes with pearly buttons, ruffled white bloomers, and soft black tights.
With the accessories, you receive the matching items that compliment her outfit. One item is the dramatic purple velvet hat. She also has a velveteen purse that can hang on her wrist and a shiny jewel necklace.
American Girl Movie Premiere
To welcome the new doll into our home, my daughters organized a movie premiere with a red carpet and all the dolls in attendance. For our American Girl movie premiere, Rebecca wore her elegant movie premiere outfit, which was introduced to the doll’s collection in 2018.
With Rebecca’s movie premiere outfit, you receive a coral taffeta hair bow that matches the dress and holds the doll’s curls back. Another item is the the ivory shoes with fleur-de-lis embroidery and ankle straps with satin bows, which were my daughter’s favorite part of the outfit.
Having an American Girl movie premiere celebration was a fun reason for my daughters to wear nice dresses and play with their dolls. It would be an excellent idea for a playdate with friends!
