In addition to fact sheets, the workbooks go through strategies for understanding why each type of calculation works. With basic multiplication facts, you can find arrays to help visualize it, which becomes helpful to understand when you get into 2-digit multiplication.
The addition and subtraction workbook also shows models so you can see how regrouping works and count out the jumps on a number line. This aligns really well with the work my children bring home from school, so they can be more confident as they learn challenging concepts in their classroom.
IXL will also be releasing “combo” workbooks in early 2020, which include multiple topics for each grade level.
