Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time to celebrate self-care with this simple, 3-ingredient DIY lavender sugar scrub. Awaken your senses with the beautiful scent of lavender, and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.

It’s a fun activity to do with tweens who are taking a well-deserved break from distance learning this weekend and need some self-care in their routine too!

Get your tween involved in measuring and mixing, and invite them to a super special mother-daughter spa day at home.

Go all out with the lavender-themed spa day, and serve these delicious lavender cookies with cream cheese icing too, or try your own creation — lavender lemonade, tea, or decaf latte.

Directions

Pour the sugar into the mason jar. Sprinkle the lavender flowers on top, and stir so they are fully mixed with the sugar.

Slowly add the olive oil, stirring as you add it so that it is completely mixed with the sugar. At first it will mix with one section of the sugar, and then more, and then all of it, until it is fully combined.

Spread on your hands, elbows, knees or feet — wherever your skin is dry or hard.

Wash afterwards with soap, and enjoy your newly softened skin!

I’m growing my own lavender this year, so I’d love to try this!
