Recently, Theresa’s Reviews received a pixie dust-sprinkled Disney Playdate Party kit! Inside, I found party favors, decorations, games, activities, and special hostess gifts. Then, the creative party planning began! Featured today, I’m sharing my tips for a simple summertime Disney Playdate Party, while also giving all the latest tips for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Sending the Invitation for Princesses to Come
For a simple playdate party, I sent out the invitation via text message stating that everyone should come in their princess dresses! Since summer can be busy, my children were excited for a reason to see their friends, and they enjoyed choosing their dresses. Georgie wore her brand new JAKKS Pacific Disney Princess Rapunzel dress, which matched her new Rapunzel doll.
Starting the Party with an Exciting Mickey Mouse-Themed Giveaway
My goal with the playdate party was to combine the simple elements of a typical playdate with the fun games and activities that parties have. As guests arrived, I announced the giveaway prize, which was an adorable Mickey Mouse Emoji Pillow Pet! Everyone chose a number from 1-50 and the person who guessed the closest found out at the end of the party if they won the toy.
Serving Snacks and Lunch
Some of the most popular food with the children was the delicious chocolate chip muffins that a guest brought! Muffins and yogurt were all that most of the princesses wanted on such a hot day.
However, the adults were much more hungry! We had Michael Angelos Baked Ziti from Walmart, which was filling and tasty. As an easy-to-make Italian dish, it reminded me of all the fantastic varieties of food offered at Epcot, where you can travel across the world as you enjoy regional food and activities!
Free Printable Walt Disney World-Themed Activities
After everyone ate, the games began! Throwing a Disney Playdate Party can be simple and inexpensive with free printable activities. Check out the Walt Disney World Matching Game and Disney Fortune Teller Activity that we used!
Elena of Avalor Party Games
Guests enjoyed taking part in the Elena of Avalor party games! The children played Pin the Crown on Elena of Avalor and took turns hitting an Elena pinata, which I filled with delicious candy.
Sweets for the Sweetest Guests!
Next came the dessert! None of our guests had ever before tried a Popped Passion Custom Popcorn Cake. With gummy worms, sprinkles, and white chocolate throughout, it also had a Mickey Mouse made out of Oreo’s on the top! Everyone watched Elena of Avalor while eating, which was a nice quiet break after all the games.
Upcoming Events at Walt Disney World
Upcoming in 2019, there are many fun, new events at Walt Disney World that make it the most magical time to visit! Minnie and Mickey’s Celebration arrives at Magic Kingdom Park. You can party with Pixar pals and more as Disney’s Hollywood Studios Marks 30 years.
