Gettysburg is not well-known for its shopping, but it is home to an outlet shopping center with a variety of stores that will suit most people’s needs. Stop by The Outlet Shoppes At Gettysburg to bring home a special treat for yourself (or your family) from your visit.
3 Reasons To Visit The Outlet Shoppes At Gettysburg
If you are visiting Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, knowledge of history is only one of the things you can bring home from the area. Gettysburg has many incredible Civil War attractions, delicious food and picturesque farm land, but you can also go shopping while you are there. Check out three reasons why you should visit the Outlet Shoppes At Gettysburg.
1. You can find good deals.
During my visit to The Outlet Shoppes At Gettysburg, I enjoyed finding good deals. Many of the items were less than their usual price. In addition to the discounted prices, many of the stores also had a sale happening. As an example, Coach had 50% off their whole store. This sale included the items already on sale, which were already half-off the original price. You could find Coach bags at 75% off their original price! I found a beautiful white handbag at a fraction of its usual price.
As a mom of two children, I don’t often shop for myself. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I bought a stylish handbag for myself. High school might have been the last time that with a job and few responsibilities, I could buy whatever clothes and accessories I liked.
Now, my closet is full of large, bright diaper bag totes, gigantic work totes, practical purses, and mini backpacks perfect for family travels. With these plain bags to choose from, it was nice to pick up something to remind me that I’m more than just a mom. Since the handbag was such a great deal, I didn’t have to feel guilty about the purchase, although I usually do when I buy things that aren’t for the family.
This week at The Outlet Shoppes At Gettysburg, the stores have a Father’s Day sale. I saw signs for the Father’s Day sale when I visited, and it looked like the sales will be even better than they usually are! Then, you can shop the Independence Day sales from June 30 to July 4. Check the current sales before you visit.
2. For outlet stores, the shops have a good selection.
Although the shops are smaller than the company’s non-outlet shops, I could always find something I liked and wanted to buy. When I shopped for my daughter’s summer reading books at Book Warehouse, I noticed that the owner regularly orders in new books for each season. Closer to Independence Day, the store will have patriotic books. Since this week is Anne Frank’s birthday, we bought Who Was Anne Frank?
While you can get good deals, you can also find a nice selection of items. Whether you are shopping for books, clothes, or technology, the stores have much to offer.
3. The Outlet Shoppes At Gettysburg has additional events.
At The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg, you can enjoy more than just shopping. Every Friday morning at 8:45 a.m., you can take part in Fitness Fridays in the gazebo. Also in the gazebo, you can visit the Farm Fresh Saturdays Farm Market from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
In addition to the events here, The Outlet Shoppes also take part in events offsite. Recently, they did a Fashion Show and took part in Funfest. On June 24th, you can find them at the Pennsylvania Cider Fest.
