One of my favorite moments this year was when my husband took my daughter to her first father daughter dance. From getting her ready for the dance to seeing her come home late at night, the few moments I experienced of this event were few and far between, but each one was precious. Of course the most special moments happened when I wasn’t there, and since she drives to and from school with me each day, it’s a rare occasion that she experiences such a special memory with only her father and not me, too. This was a night she will never forget.
Father And Daughter Dance Night
To make the evening extra special, my husband placed an order from Teleflora. Having a corsage and a boutonniere were must-haves for the event. With a delivery from our local flower store, Clarksville Flower Station, he was able to surprise my daughter with the flowers minutes before they left for the dance.
When she walked outside to discover her father holding the beautiful white rose corsage, the look of delight on her face was unforgettable. She was not expecting her father to make such a grand gesture towards her, and she couldn’t stop smiling. With lively, pure white petals and elegant sparkly jewels, the corsage was perfect for the event.
She also had not been expecting to present her father with the Blissful White Boutonniere. As she handed it to him and helped him put it in his pocket, they both looked so happy that I could tell the evening was going to be a success.
During the night, they danced, they enjoyed the incredible decorations, and and they ended the evening with a special trip to get milkshakes and French fries at a diner. While I missed out on being there for this special evening, I am glad that I gave them the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, without me and the little sister around too. Sometimes having one on one time with dad is exactly what a child needs.
Check out the beautiful photos I took before they left home. I loved that the flowers helped make the evening extra special. Watching my husband present my daughter with the flowers – that he had carefully kept a secret for a whole night – made me incredibly happy. Truly, the experience was a night to remember.
Do you plan special father and daughter outings? Tell me about them in the comments!
That is so sweet. I never did anything like that with my dad growing up. It’s so great your daughter will have such a nice memory to cherish.
I don’t have a daughter. I only have two boys, but I try to do special mother son things with them.
I don’t have daughters but I can relate through my relationship with my sons. This is very sweet and I always try to take time to spend with them that is special.
I can only imagine how special the flowers made your little girl feel. They looked marvelous all dressed up for the dance, I bet they had a great time.
This is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen! Love when dads go the extra mile to make their daughters feel special and loved!
Awh my this is so adorable! The pictures are just too cute! It’s amazing to see when dads try extra hard to do something special for their daughters! When I was little it wasn’t really a thing for dads to get involved with things like this! x
Aww this soo sweet. What a lovely memory for all of you. She is soo cute. xx
So sweet! I look forward to my daughter having her first daddy/daughter dance and while I’d love to witness it, I hope they having a bonding moment like your daughter and husband.
I will never forget the Valentine’s Day that my father had a rose in a vase delivered to my house. I was so excited to come home from school to a special delivery like that, and while I might have been a little bummed at the time that it didn’t come from a secret admirer, I realize now how important it is for a little girl’s first rose to be from her dad.
This I’ve really lovely! I think it’s important that children spend one on one time with both parents. Although it must have been hard for you not to be there too, I’m sure there will be lots of occasions for you to do the same in the future.
This is so lovely l. Great pictures too. Very happy faces.
What a beautiful memory! And beautiful flowers! My daughter would LOVE that wrist corsage with sparklies! We do daddy daughter dates, but they’ve never gotten dressed up before. I know she would love it!

So sweet! We’re going to have to recreate a father daughter dance for my daughter since the Mr had to work the night her school held theirs. It’s definitely important to get in special one on one time with our littles.
Awww I just love that he got her a corsage. What a special memory that night must be!
That looks like your family had a blast. I would love for my husband and daughter to have this opportunity!
When my daughter was younger, my husband would take her out once a month on her birth date (17th). They would go to dinner, movies, get ice cream, etc. That lasted until middle school. Then she didn’t want t be seen with anyone lol…especially a parent!
this is so sweet. and those photos are priceless!
What amazing memories to cherish! I remember my first father daughter dance, so fun and so many memories!
