Since there are so many – eight – new Mega Construx Despicable Me 3 sets, I tried them all out so you can see what they’re like. Today I’m sharing an unboxing video, information about all the products, and how all eight toys look when you build them. When the box arrived in the mail, my daughters were excited to see what was inside. Check out their unboxing video!
They were both happy to get new toys, even though they hadn’t seen a Despicable Me in a while. Building the toys was a great way to anticipate the movie together! We had almost forgotten about the Minions, but now we can’t wait to watch clips of the new Minions movie and wait for its release.
With eight new toys to check out, we had a busy couple of days! My children couldn’t wait to get started.
Building Toys That The Whole Family Can Enjoy
When I told my daughter to open a box and get started creating the toys, she instantly grabbed her tablet and started doing an impromptu tutorial on how to put Minions Jailbreak together. The video was long (about 30 minutes), so I’ll skip sharing it, but it was adorable! I had part of it up on my Instagram Instastories.

She was proud to complete the set. Just months ago, she would have needed help finishing a building set. It was neat to see how she can independently build toys now.

Once You Build One, You’ll Want To Build More!
After she completed Minions Jailbreak, we were ready to build the rest! With eight sets to build, we needed a quiet afternoon. In between our exciting summer travel plans, we needed a relaxing day inside anyway. The children got some summer school work done, while helping to build from time to time. They were eager to see what all the sets would look like together.

Mega Construx is releasing brand new construction sets unique to the film Despicable Me 3.
My children were happy to see Minion World in its full creation. The characters from Despicable Me 3 were ready to play together in all sorts of scenarios.
These eight new products allow Despicable Me 3 fans to recreate their favorite scenes from the new movie.
One of my daughters favorites was the Luau Party. With a tropical setting, the characters are having a wonderful summer together. This was my first set to put together. I liked that the characters were all easy to create, and their setting was simple too.

With the vehicle sets, the characters are ready to zoom around the room. The Wild Waterski Bike and Gru’s Water Motorbike sets were about an average difficulty to put together. They had some small pieces, but were not very time consuming.

Another neat set was Gru’s Transforming Car. This one took me the longest to build and was the most complex. It was worth it to see how neat it looks. My children were delighted to see it completed.

Each of my daughters got a Minions Cheese toy, the Cheese Merry Go Round and the Cheese Shoot Out toy. These sets were simple to put together. Everyone laughed when see cheese was shot off the minion’s head.

Both of my kids love the Minions and Despicable Me movies. We can’t wait for the new one to come out. These toys are too small for my toddler, but my 5 y/o would have a blast with them!
