As the mother of a very tall 3 1/2 year old daughter, I was always amazed that she needed help reaching items around the house because she seemed so capable and independent – headstrong! I made due for half a year with a faded step stool from a yard sale, which was personalized with another girl’s name, as well as a very cheap step stool that was recently recalled. Now, I was gracious to receive a personalized kids’ step stool from Stork Gifts, which made an excellent early Christmas gift for my adorably confident little girl, who was sometimes clumsy and was always adventurous and brave. The company was a lifesaver, as my old recalled stool was ridiculously unstable with screws falling off of it. While I was drawn to the best-selling Puzzle Stool because of the educational value, I went with the Personalized Step Stool in white with a ballet theme for the item to arrive early for the holidays.

Review of the Step Stool

I loved using a step stool that was personalized to my daughter’s interests. Because my daughter took a three week long intense and competitive dance camp last summer, the ballet theme was perfect for her. When the item arrived in the mail, it had a sticker that explained not to cut the cardboard box, which helped prevent me from scratching and damaging the stool. Opening the box, I wanted to cry about how beautiful the design was because I knew how much my daughter would love it. Paint colors were crisp and well defined. Colors were appealing. The ballet design was girly and fun. I loved that the company didn’t sacrifice quality for the personalization of the design. Having a beautifully personal design was very sweet.

As I reviewed the product, I was impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of the stool. My daughter had a habit of using the stool when I wasn’t around, which is why I needed a top quality item. I loved feeling secure when my daughter used the item. My daughter used the stool to reach the top of my dresser, the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, and the top row in her closet. Never was I nervous that the stool could break or tip. Because the stool was made with great quality and excellent craftsmanship, I was happy to let my daughter use the product regularly.

Because I had taught in early childhood classrooms, I felt that having a personalized stool offered a great educational opportunity for children. Typically, my daughter wouldn’t see her name spelled as Samantha. When I taught my daughter phonics, I would teach my daughter how to spell her nickname, Sam, as I prompted her to begin to learn to spell Sammy. I liked that the product had my daughter’s entire name, Samantha, so she could see her full name on a regular basis. The stool used my daughter’s interest in ballet and created a print rich environment to help her learn her name. Wholeheartedly I planned to purchase another personalized stool for my younger daughter Georgiana in the future.
