Directions:

Take out a small sauce pan. Add the peanut butter and honey. Allow the mixture to heat while you stir it until it is smooth and combined.

Pour the Lucky Charms cereal in a large bowl. Spoon the peanut butter and honey mixture on top. Then, take a large mixing spoon, and use it to stir until it is combined.

Take out an 8X8 baking pan, and line it with parchment paper. Use the large mixing spoon to pour the cereal into the pan. With the back of the spoon, flatten the cereal into the pan.

In your small sauce pan, add the milk chocolate chips and shortening. Put the sauce pan on low heat. Stir to combine until it is completely melted.

Use a pastry bag without an attachment to drizzle the chocolate on top of the cereal bars. Cut a tiny hole in the bottom of the pastry bag. Keep the hole closed with your fingers while using a spoon to add the chocolate. When you push the chocolate down towards the opening in the pastry bag, you will have excellent control over where it goes and how much you add.

Add the festive sprinkles on top. Place the cereal bars in the freezer for 30 minutes before eating to allow them to harden.

When you store them, you should keep them in the refrigerator to help them stick together. If they feel too loose, out them back in the freezer for a few minutes.

Enjoy! These cereal bars have a bit of a healthier and more savory taste than the traditional Rice Krispy-inspired recipe with marshmallows. The peanut butter evens out all the sweetness, and it tastes incredible with the chocolate.
