The San Diego county sheriff remembers his Kenny Rogers. Sheriff William Gore has decided to not seek an en banc review of the Peruta decision. There’s still the possibility that the court itself will start a review, but there are no rumblings of that so far.

However, it doesn’t look like the sheriff will go quietly into the night. His press release makes it clear that his office plans on some months long foot dragging for county residents seeking a CCW permit. One wonders if that sort of petty behavior will earn them another lawsuit.
