With a full year of kindergarten completed, Samantha is having a blast in first grade. She is learning to study for tests, trying a new sport, and waking up earlier than last year. It’s hard to believe that when I first started writing about parenting, she was only three years old. For the new school year, redesigning the kids bedroom has been a priority. Since Samantha has grown so much in the past few years, she badly needed to upgrade her bed.

Yogabed Review

As I mentioned in a previous post Toddler To Twin: Your Child’s First Big Kid Bed, we received a Yogabed twin mattress. You can check out the style we got here. Trying out the mattress has been a great experience. I could tell when we took the mattress out of the box that the material it was made out of would help create a great night’s sleep.

Growing Up Means Trying New Things

For the past week, Samantha has been trying out her new mattress. She loves having a twin size bed. It is just the right size for her. Even though there is quite a bit of space at the bottom of the bed, it’s no problem for her. She says this is going to be her “forever bed,” the bed she’ll have even when she’s an adult.

Since she wants the mattress to last forever, it must be very comfortable to her! I’m really happy that the size of the bed is working so well for my constantly growing six year old. She’s got plenty of space to stretch out and enough room to grow.

Getting A Good Night’s Rest Matters

When you’re waking up at 5:30 in the morning, sleeping on a good mattress matters, especially when you’re a kid. This mattress has helped Samantha sleep well for the whole week that she’s used it. Whether she’s waking up to take a spelling test or to play a tennis game, she needs to be very focused during the day.

After sleeping so well at night, she has been doing well at school and has had plenty of energy for doing sports. School is gearing up and becoming more complex. She’s had more homework than she ever had in kindergarten, but she is taking it all in stride and barely seems stressed.

She has also been falling asleep easily at night. As a working mom, I appreciate having more time to myself at the end of the day when she falls asleep without a complaint.

Yogabed Video Review

Since Samantha loves her new mattress, she wanted to share a video review to explain what she likes about it. Check it out below, and visit my Youtube channel to leave her a comment on the video letting her know what you think.

This bed sounds amazing! A good night’s sleep is so important for our children! Do they make these for adults? What a great idea to make them as comfortable as possible!
