With a new school year on the horizon, it’s a great time to get ready for your extracurricular activities. Whether you’re part of a team or prefer to exercise recreationally, Sports Authority has everything you need. Purchase gear, such as tennis rackets and treadmills, or clothes, to start off the school year right. The store has items for the whole family. Kids can get what they need for school, while the parents can shop for themselves too.

Back to School with Sports Authority

To try out clothes from the 2015/2016 back to school lookbook, I stopped by the store. Since the closest Sports Authority to me was in a mall, that was where the kids and I headed. The selections online looked fun, but it can be hard to figure out how a company sizes their items just going off a sizing chart. My priority was to make sure that my daughter had some new outfits for the fall. She enjoys running, and she might take a tennis class later this fall. Comfortable athletic clothes make staying active more enticing.

Some of the clothes she tried out were the Under Armour Girl’s Alpha 5-inch shorts in both mosaic/lead and black/chaos. The shorts fit well. When kids play, having form fitting shorts on under other shorts has the advantage of keeping girls more modest when they are doing gymnastics. Another advantage is that the shorts layer well under skirts and dresses. Some running shorts look bulky under dresses.  With these shorts, Samantha can stay covered up and still look stylish. At the waist, the shorts had plenty of give. While the shorts were stretchy, they were also comfortable.

Out of the three shirts, her favorite style was the Under Amour Girl’s Home of the Brave tee. Every fall, her school has an America day. Last year, we had to run out in the morning to pick up a shirt that had red, white, and blue on it. The shirt would fit with the special day, and plus, it had really comfortable, soft fabric.

She also tried on the girl’s Under Armour Big Logo Tech Novelty short-sleeve V-neck T-Shirt. The store carried the shirt in Mosaic/Bloom and Velocity/Crush, or aqua and yellow, retrospectively. These shirts had more of an athletic wear feel to them. When kids run long distances, the shirts can keep them cool. Because the shirts come in fun colors, they can make athletic wear more exciting.

While shopping at Sports Authority, I checked out the large variety of shoes. You can find shoes for the whole family there. The store carries some of the most well known brands in the latest styles. My favorite was the Girl’s Nike Flex Experience Running Shoes. The colors are appealing and feminine. My daughter adored the shoes since her favorite colors are pink and purple.

At Sports Authority, you can find everything you need to start the new school year right. From NITE IZE Flashflight Ultimate Disks for your downtime to water bottles for running off stress, you can purchase all your back to school essentials in one place. It’s pretty neat that you can pick up the items that help you relax in the same place that you can get your back to school shoes and backpacks. Year round, the company has you covered for athletic, outdoor activities. I’m looking forward to shopping at the store later this year to pick up Christmas presents for the kids.
