With Father’s Day coming up on June 21, 2015, it’s a great time to start a gift guide to check out some of the best gifts that dads can enjoy. Technology is a favorite for many men. Athletic men can appreciate an MP3 player, which is built for anyone who works out regularly. The SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 player comes with several useful functions, is comfortable to wear, and stores a good amount of music, even without purchasing an additional microSD or microSDHC card. Men who already own a different style of MP3 player can enjoy having a backup just for those times when sweat and dirt can impact the item the most.

SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 Player Review

One of the best things about the item was that it was simple to use. Without intently reading the instruction manual, I understood how to move the item through each function: the radio, audiobooks and music as well as the the stopwatch and the timer. Switching from function to function was simple. Something neat was that the product came preprogrammed with some music, mainly instrumental. It was easy to try out the quality of the speakers and the music function without uploading all of my music right away.

When I did upload music, I found the software that came with the item easy to use. After plugging the item into my computer to charge, a removable disk icon immediately popped up called Clip Sport. I opened up the Music folder and dropped my music files in to the device. Since I’ve only used music players that went with my Mac computer’s software before, at first I wasn’t sure how the new device would work. After trying it out, I found the Music folder easy to access.

Playing the music while I went on a run was simple. Each function was easily accessible. The audio quality was good. As I listened to music, I switched to the sport functions to time my run. I noticed that the timer worked while the music worked, but if I exited the timer function, the timer stopped running. Keeping the timer up is the key to having the product record your total run, or you can even record laps.

One of the things I liked about the item was its size. Since the item had a screen, I could easily switch between functions. Because the item was still fairly small, it wasn’t bulky and never got in the way as I ran. The item is a nice midlevel music player that offers some amenities and organization that others don’t offer at a more appealing price point. For people who exercise regularly, having a sport MP3 player would be very useful.

While my husband appreciated the gift as an early Father’s Day present, he was able to get a lot of use out of it. He listened to music on it as he mowed the lawn and when he exercised. I got a lot of use out of the item too. As I used the item, I found that it had great quality. In the future, I will continue to use the item and so will my husband.
