Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter Review, Recipes & a Giveaway! theresa February 17, 2016 Cooking, Lifestyle 12 Comments Peanut butter is an incredibly useful ingredient in the kitchen. Ever since I was younger, I’ve always loved peanut butter desserts and sauces. When cooking with peanut butter, I like it to taste pure and natural. In my meals, other flavors should come from the spices or sugars that I add, not from the peanut butter itself. This is why I tried out Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter, an item made with only two ingredients: peanuts and sea salt. Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter Review To my kids, the ultimate taste test was a spoonful of peanut butter. Georgiana and Samantha were reluctant to try any food with the peanut butter added without knowing whether they liked the taste of the peanut butter first. After scooping out a little spoonful for each girl, I watched their reactions closely. There were plenty of smiles! Finally, both girls explained that they liked the peanut butter and insisted they were ready for a milkshake. The milkshakes were a huge hit too! I set the girls up with their own little quiet space to try their drinks. With a serene light pouring in, colorful paintings, and a miniature table, drinking the milkshake was a special experience. Samantha drank her milkshake so fast that I could barely catch a photo with any left in her cup! She was all smiles, and she said it was the best milkshake she’s ever had. The final verdict was that this peanut butter is indeed yummy. As a parent, I love that the ingredients are pure and simple. It’s great when I don’t have to trick my kids into eating healthy food. If my kids can eat this peanut butter by the spoonful, there’s no doubt it will go over well in a wide variety of dishes in my cooking. Interested in some recipe ideas? Check out some tips below where I share a few different ways you can cook with Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter. Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter Recipes For my kid-approved milkshake, I put a couple scoops of the peanut butter, two bananas, some whole milk, water, cinnamon, a dash of honey, and a little ice into a blender. The simplicity of the ingredients was very appealing to my kids. Usually, I just toss whatever fresh ingredients I have in the house into the blender and add enough honey and cinnamon to make it taste sweet. Sometimes, I use carrots, lettuce, apples, or berries. This is a snack that’s easy to pull off, and the kids will be happy to eat it. There is such a wide variety in the types of dishes you can make with a really good peanut butter. Pic’s gave me some delicious recipes to share. First, one of my favorites is baked peanut butter BBQ wings. I enjoy wings year round, even after football season. For a delicious wing sauce, take a 15-ounce can of tomato sauce, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, half a cup of Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter, 1/4 cup of molasses, 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, a teaspoon of sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cayenne. Then, just prepare the wings as usual. Set the oven to 400 degrees, and put wings tossed with oil and sea salt on lined pans. To prepare the sauce, simmer the ingredients for about 10-15 minutes. When the wings are done cooking, brush some of the sauce on and put them back in for about 10 minutes. Then, let the wings cool and serve them with what’s left of the sauce. If you like peanut-based chicken sauces, you will love this recipe! Since I grew up eating chicken satay with a peanut sauce, eating peanut butter BBQ wings reminds me of the food I had in my childhood. A couple other favorite recipes I can’t wait to try are Pic’s Spicy Peanut Butter Nachos, Peanut Butter Surprise Muffins, and Peanut Butter Pave, a Brazilian-style layered dessert. With peanut butter this good, it’s a great ingredient for many delicious desserts, main dishes, and appetizers. Those smoothies sound delicious. We too only buy peanut butter with two ingredients. I grew up on Skippy, which now I find way too sweet. I actually just finished eating a brown rice cake with chunky natural peanut butter, sliced banana, chia seeds, and a bit of honey. That and smoothies are my favorite ways to enjoy peanut butter Reply Theresa February 18, 2016 That peanut butter sounds amazing!
