In my home, I don’t have great air circulation in the kitchen area. Because the fire alarm would go off when I cooked pizza, I decided to try a fan to see if it would help, especially for when I seared steak in oil at high temperatures. I have previously written reviews of several items from the company. My most recent Ozeri review was another fan, a desk fan, which has worked great and that offered my daughters entertainment when they got bored. With the new fan, I evaluated how it worked from a mom’s perspective since my main purpose was to have the item in a family household.

While using the product, I found that the airflow worked well. As the fan oscillates, it was able to circulate more air in my kitchen. Seeing the air temperature displayed on the screen was convenient. With kids in the home, the feature ensured that the temperature didn’t get too cold for them. The breeze felt very nice and was effective in keeping my smoke alarm from ringing.

Another feature I liked was the remote control. From my location near the oven, I controlled the direction and quantity of the air. Using a remote control made the product safer for me because I needed to stay near the stove top in case something happened with the food. Controlling the oscillation from a distance made sense in my circumstance. When I saw smoke billowing out, I used the remote control, while continuing to sear the steak.

Another nice thing about the fan was its noise level. Although the noise wasn’t inaudible, it wasn’t irritatingly loud. The higher the level that I had the fan on, the louder it was, but it didn’t get too loud. Using the product, I also used the kitchen fan, so the noise didn’t matter much then. Later in the year, when I use the fan in the summer in my basement gym or to keep my children cool at night, the low noise level will be much appreciated.
