Searching for Easter basket gifts for preschoolers? Check out Educational Insights‘ Hoppy Floppy’s Happy Hunt game. Made in a convenient size, the item would fit perfectly in most Easter baskets. With my background as a certified teacher as well as a mom to two kids under age 5, I played the game. I saw how valuable it would be in an educational setting. The game provided many benefits and it was very enjoyable.

Hoppy Floppy’s Happy Hunt Game Review

In the past, I’ve tried several different games from the company: The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game, The Sneaky, Snacky, Squirrel Card Game and Diggity Dog. My kids love the characters in the games. With sweet animals as the characters, the games are very appealing to children. The fun characters help motivate my children to play the games, which I found to have a lot of educational value. Since I had experience with the company’s other games, I was eager to try the rabbit game.

Hoppy Floppy's Happy Hunt Game

Inside the box, I found four baskets of different colors. A small plastic bag held carrots of different colors. After reading the instructions, I learned to put the carrots in the bottom of the container. The goal is for each player to fill one basket with each of the different color carrots. After spinning the board, if the arrow points to a color, the player uses the rabbit squeezer to pick up a carrot of the same color. I liked that the game encouraged children to work on their color recognition skills.

Another great thing about the game was that it encouraged social skills. For my daughter, who is going into kindergarten in the fall, learning to wait for her turn was a good lesson. Being willing to see if she would win or lose was also a meaningful experience. She developed good sportsmanship as she realized she could lose graciously and still congratulate the other person.

For Easter baskets, I usually like to give gifts that are meaningful and educational. To me, this gift is exactly what I would look for in an Easter gift. While the educational value is excellent, my children also enjoyed it. In the future, my children will continue to play the game even when Easter season has ended.
