Gila Girl Clothing Review theresa July 3, 2015 Kid's Style 5 Comments Mixing feminine accents with fun animal characters, Gila Girl clothing reminds girls how great it is to enjoy playing in the dirt and dressing up in princess clothes. Girls don’t have to choose between being pretty and showing how smart and strong they are. The concept behind the company fit my daughters well. Both of my girls have a wild side that they show when they get outside and play in nature. Since my daughters received the shirts for free from the company, I decided to take them to a nearby nature center to get some pictures. Gila Girl Clothing Review Putting my daughters in the habitat of the character on their shirt helped show how well the shirts fit their personalities. For weeks now, my younger daughter Georgiana has been zooming around the house and nibbling at our clothes, calling herself a sharkie. At the park, I put her near a small waterfall, and I watched her come alive as a shark, ready to swim and capture us, while wearing the She’s-Jawsome Tee. Since all sharks enjoy the water, we stopped in the nature center and checked on the terrapin turtle. Both girls even got to pet a corn snake. Scientific learning came alive. The science theme fit well with the shirts. With Gila Girl clothing, kids can get more intrigued by animals and their habitats, which leads to discoveries and learning. As a certified teacher, I like the integration of science in the design for the shirts. Another item I received was the She-Rex Tee for my older daughter, Samantha. She has a fascination with dinosaurs. Playing in the garden, she roared with delight and roamed as free and independent as a T-Rex. Since T-Rexs don’t usually stop and smile for the camera, it was hard to get a pretty shot without a pouting, frowning, growling face, but I finally got her to pause while she rested in the shade. At age five and age three, my daughters can sometimes seem incredibly untamed, loving and kind, but headstrong. At the very least, they do admit to being as wild as a dinosaur and as mischievous as a shark. Shirts that embrace girls’ independence fit with my spirited daughters’ personalities very well. Because the material was so soft, the shirts were ideal for playing outside. Paired with skirts and flats, the shirts looked pretty. One of the cool things about the shirts is that they could fit with many different styles. Regarding the sizing, the shirts fit true to size. Both shirts were loose fitting. The girls had plenty of room to grow. I liked that the material on the collar had enough stretch to it so that the kids could easily get it over their heads. Later this year, I look forward to many more outdoor adventures when they can wear their Gila Girl shirts again. To learn more, you can contact the company via Facebook and Twitter. Disclosure I received a free item to help inform my writing. 5 Responses Jess Benoit July 5, 2015 First of all, your little girls are adorable!! Your 5yo’s hair is so pretty. As for the tees, I love how they turned these animals (that seem to be geared more towards boys) into a cute girly version. Reply Jaclyn Anne July 5, 2015 Your girls are precious!
