Heading into a relaxing, invigorating summer, kids need the right pair of shoes. My daughter Samantha had tennis shoes, but those can get sweaty on trips to the beach and the pool, even though they are great for riding bikes and dancing. I needed shoes that would work for any summer occasion with enough support and structure to get my daughter active and moving all summer long. Since I had tried out Chacos shoes for myself and for my husband before, I reached out to the company again and explained my search. The company recommended a style called the Outcross, which I chose in a violet quartz color.

Chacos Kids Outcross Review

The shoes fit awesome. I used the sizing chart online, and I thought maybe it would run small because I assumed my daughter’ feet would have grown more this year. I found the sizing chart to be very accurate. My daughter’s feet fit with just enough room for them to grow over the summer and into fall. Since ordering offline can be difficult, especially when it comes to shoes, I was happy about the convenience of having the shoes fit true to size.

Since the shoes arrived on a chilly day in June, the first days Samantha tried them out, she wore them with socks. Paired with pink socks, they looked nice enough to wear to preschool. Even though it was a misty day with cool temperatures, my daughter was really excited to wear the shoes instead of the rain boots she would usually wear. She also really liked the coloring of the shoes. Since pink is her favorite color, she was instantly smitten with the shoes.

Heading out on a Friday evening with the family, Samantha wore the shoes to a picnic event. I got to watch how well the shoes worked as she ran to the playground, played hopscotch, and danced. 10690309_10203274815109457_992441171317673591_n

No matter the activity, the shoes worked great. My daughter had the time of her life. I’m really glad that I made a good choice regarding the right shoes to get for the summer. It was a tough choice because I needed shoes Samantha could wear in the ocean for her beach trip, but I also wanted shoes that would work for biking to the neighborhood pool. Luckily, the Outcross shoes work great for all kinds of summer activities. In the future, Samantha will continue to wear the shoes to events this summer.

Your daughters shoes look mighty comfortable. Wondering if they come in adult size for me – perfect for going on trail walks during a nice warm summer’s day, am I right? Nice choice! Love the pink on them too :)

Having durable shoes for your kids is so important! These look like they would be so comfy for summer activities and exploring. I had not heard of this brand before they sound like they would be a great quality for kids.

Sounds like the perfect pair for her, that’s great.  I’m sure other moms will find this useful when choosing shoes for their kids. The most important thing though is that she is comfortable in them and likes them.

I have a really active little boy so I think these would hold up well to him. I love the look of these as they seem perfect for any activity and great for hot weather too. Glad to know the sizing chart is accurate as I always get nervous ordering shoes online.

We’ve gotten into the habit of putting clogs on our toddler every day. He needs a good supportive shoe likes these. Do they come in blue or green?, he asks.

What a great review! I always think it is important for children to have the proper foot support for all they do! it seems you will be making memorable moments walking and enjoying things together like the pool!

When we were kids, our parents seldom bought us shoes because our feet were expected to grow bigger in size until we get to the end of adolescence phase or puberty. These violet quartz shoes look cute and it’s good that they are comfortable to wear. Kids these days should really own pairs of comfy shoes for different kinds of activities.

I know what you mean, same here! But I remember my feet hurting so bad sometimes when we went on walks because the shoes were starting to get tight, but to be frugal, I only got new shoes when I absolutely needed them. Thanks goodness I get review samples for my kids so they can be comfortable more often than I was! It’s absolutely true, though, that these shoes are comfortable, and have plenty of space for growing.

Pink is definitely my preschooler’s favorite color, too. These shoes look great for an active preschooler to run all around. My daughter would probably love these, too. She is always begging for shoes when we walk into a store. She can never have enough.

These shoes are adorable and really do look comfortable! Love the color though my 8yo tomboy would have opted out of pink. :p

They have some awesome designs for adults too. The adult Chacos sandals are what all the kids at my college wore, especially to go hiking.
