Looking for a Christmas gift for a coffee lover in your life? Last week I featured the Capresso On-the-Go coffee maker. Today, I wanted to share my opinion of the company’s Ceramic Burr Grinder. When I was younger, I worked in a coffee house, and I learned so much about how coffee should be made to create a great brew. Now, while I basically live on coffee, I still prefer a great cup to keep me lively throughout the day.

Capresso Ceramic Burr Grinder Review

My favorite thing about grinding fresh coffee is that it makes the coffee taste better. Usually, the taste of the coffee is best when you grind the beans immediately before brewing the coffee. Even though it’s easier to purchase previously ground coffee, I liked grinding the beans in the morning so I could enjoy the freshest tasting coffee all day. As I wrote my Capresso Ceramic Burr Grinder, I tried out the product numerous times.

Another feature I liked was that the product stopped grinding immediately when it ran out of beans. I didn’t have to constantly monitor the product while I used it to make sure that I turned it off, as it conveniently stopped at the right time. To best use the product, I only ground the beans for a minute at a time to permit the coffee grinder to rest for several minutes. While the coffee ground quickly, it was ground to a nice, coarse texture, just right for the coffee maker I used.

Regarding convenience, the item was excellent. I loaded the coffee on the top, which minimized the mess. The grinder was small enough to not take up too much counter space. Cleaning the item simply required a quick rinse in the sink. Convenience was a major pro of the product.

A well built grinder is usually at least $100. Even though the Capresso Ceramic Burr Grinder is less than the recommended amount, it is a good product for people using a grinder for the first time to see if they really like the process and taste of grinding their coffee beans. With the holidays coming up, the item makes a great gift for friends and relatives. For regular brewed coffee, the grinder worked well and made delicious coffee. In the future, I plan to continue using the item and I would recommend it.

Disclosure: I received a free product, but it in no way influenced my opinion.
