10 Baby Registry Essentials For New Mothers Theresa October 16, 2016 Parenting 22 Comments If you’re preparing to have your first child, setting up your baby registry is important to do. Many products new mothers register for sound interesting but are not essential. You should register for items you need and include big ticket, high quality items on your registry as well as less expensive items. On your baby shower, friends and family will show their generosity, and they appreciate knowing what you would like. 10 Must Have Baby Products As a mom of two children under age seven, I picked out ten items that I wish I had registered for when I had my first. You can buy all of these items from Baby Cubby, an online and retail company that price matches to offer you the best deals on the safest products. Recommended By An Experienced Mother BOB 2016 Revolution Flex Jogging Stroller – Buy a high quality stroller that will last. Even though the BOB strollers are heavier than some other models, they are perfect for the light to moderate exercise you should get after having a baby. When you are inside with a baby all day and night, getting outside offers excellent stress relief. Not only does Britax offer comfortable seats for children, but the company also takes safety very seriously. With the ClickTight technology, your child is safely secured. Photo credit: babycubby.com Ergobaby Organic Collection Carrier – When you want to go out for the day, a high quality carrier can be the best way to walk with your infant. Rather than figuring out a complicated wrap, stick with a simple carrier. With organic fabric, this item will feel soft to help keep your baby comfortable. Photo credit: babycubby.com Petunia Pickle Bottom Downtown Tote – While diaper bags are necessities, choosing the right one can be difficult. For a practical and stylish choice, buy a neutral tote bag. Since the colors are classic, this item will look nice long after your children are done wearing diapers. Photo credit: babycubby.com Aden + Anais Bamboo Dream Blanket In Moonlight – Since babies always need an extra layer, a nice blanket is good for any weather. The Dream Blanket is incredibly soft, and it’s big enough that your child can keep it for years to come. We have two of these blankets, and we adore them! Photo credit: babycubby.com Less Expensive Items Mary Meyer FabFuzz Scooter Pup -You should have a range of prices in the items on your baby registry. For a less expensive item, the FabFuzz collection is soft and delightful. This plush stuffed dog is a nice small size and is comfortable to cuddle. Photo credit: theresasreviews.com BabyLit Primer Book Secret Garden – From publisher Gibbs Smith, the Baby Lit collection is adorable. One thing I noticed at my baby shower was that friends wanted to buy me baby books, but they didn’t know a lot about how to pick out high quality children’s literature. Show your child your your favorite books, such as The Secret Garden, with durable board books that will last. BabyLit Wizard of Oz – Another delightful book from the series is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. With beautiful, bright colors and fun characters, your child will be attracted to the pages of the book. Photo credit: theresasreviews.com Boon Scrub Bottle Brush – Give yourself a break from time to time, and ask someone else to feed the baby while you rest. With a good quality bottle brush, you can double check that your child is drinking from a sanitized bottle. Photo credit: babycubby.com Avent Pacifier Freeflow – Pacifiers are always good to have. Since they always seem to get dirty at the most inconvenient times, it is useful to have a few extra in your bag. Photo credit: babycubby.com What Makes Baby Cubby Different Baby Cubby isn’t just another baby store. I loved my ErgoBaby, it was a lifesaver with baby #2! Reply Falon October 17, 2016 I love Baby Lit books! And my kiddo has only used Avent pacifiers, they’re the best. Reply Stephanie Jeannot October 17, 2016 The baby bag is cute. Looks like a bag you could even wear on a regular day. Cute ideas. Reply Georgiana October 17, 2016 I LOVE that Downtown tote! Back in the day, all the diaper bags screamed NEW MOM, NEW MOM. I would so rather have had something stylish like that. Reply Stacy @ Taylor's October 18, 2016 Those pacifiers look cool, I need to check those out! Reply Colleen October 18, 2016 Great list! I would also add a humidifier. It comes in handy when your child is sick. Reply Jen October 18, 2016 The baby bag is super cute! Love that you could use it for other things too! Reply Ellie Augustin October 18, 2016 Love that list. Sigh… I’m into toddler life till Teen Life.. Oh I miss all the sweet baby things! BUT I live by my running stroller it’s my BFF and favorite way to get and about w/my youngest. Reply Alexie October 18, 2016 Great list! I defo couldn’t live without some of those! Want to try that stroller! Reply Christine Em October 18, 2016 oh wow i wish there were registrys like this when mine were little. some great ideas on the list. Love the tote! Reply Lauren October 18, 2016 I totally agree about finding a nice stroller that will last! We bought our first stroller used and with our second coming along I did a lot more research. Our new stroller will last is through all our kids! Reply Elizabeth Doren October 18, 2016 When I was first pregnant – I had zero idea what to register for. Your list matches what I would do now that I’m in the know. Reply Shann October 19, 2016 It sounds like a great store. Even though we’re mostly passed the baby stage, I still would love those books. I also love Petunia Pickle Bottom. Reply Leah October 19, 2016 We use many of these products! We love our BOB, and now we have a double BOB, too! One thing I would suggest to new parents is to not buy pacifiers until after Baby is born. Some babies don’t take pacifiers, and sometimes they’ll only take a certain brand. My son will only take MAM pacifiers. I had to throw out several that we tried and he wouldn’t use! Reply Susan October 19, 2016 Baby carriers are so important! I wasn’t into the big strollers because they’re hard to navigate doorways and fit into cars. Perfect if you’re just taking a walk, though. Reply Mommy Blogger: Candace Ann October 20, 2016 We stuck with Advent pacifiers but I had no clue about the free flow ones. That is great. Very nice products within this post. Reply Tiffany |shortsweetmom.com October 20, 2016 Baby carrier is a must for our family as well. I have never heard of Baby Cubby but they sound like a wonderful resource for new moms. Reply Becca @ Nappies & Nail Polish October 20, 2016 I definitely think donations to a big present like the pram are the way to go rather than buying clothes and toys. I got bought so many newborn clothes most of them never got worn! Reply Inez October 24, 2016 That diaper bag is so cute. Great list! Reply Shahira October 25, 2016 I love baby lit books and the baby carriers. Carriers are such a Gid sent especially during the colicky days! Reply Christine - The Choosy Mommy November 2, 2016 I loved my Ergo! I had a couple different carriers but I always seemed to go straight to the Ergo (unless it was crazy hot outside, then I used my ring sling!) To each their own when it comes to carriers though. There are so many different options! Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
